Manchester United Highlights

Evans Timothy Fosu Fosu-Mensah, a player for the English football team Manchester United, was born on January 2nd 1998 in Amsterdam. He plays as either a defensive midfielder, center back, or full back. Evans has a brother, Alfons Fosu-Mensah, who plays for North Ferriby United. He began his career with Ajax before moving to England in 2014 and has played for Manchester United’s youth teams in a variety of positions. In February of 2016, he made his professional debut in a 3-2 Premier League win at home to Arsenal. In October of 2016, he signed a contract with Manchester United to be with them through 2020, with the option to extend for another year.

Another newer player, whose been with the team since 2014, is Luke Paul Hoare Shaw, who was born in England on July 12th 1995. Shaw plays as a left back for Manchester United and was originally a member of Southampton’s youth system. In June of 2014, he signed a 4 year contract with Manchester United for a (then) record transfer fee of 30 million. The football team Chelsea was also interested in Shaw, but backed away for fear that his excessive pay demands would cause friction with the other players. In late October of 2014, he was nominated for the Golden Boy Award, which is a prize given to the player considered to be Europe’s best young player. Just as a little history, Shaw’s first experience of international football came in 2011, when he made six appearances for the England under 16 team. Then in January of 2013, he was set to be called up for the first time to the England under 21 team. In may of 2014, he was named in Roy Hodgson’s 23 man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Shaw also holds the record of being the youngest player to appear in the 2014 tournament, which was watched all over the world on the Manchester United stream.
